PIB (PETROLEUM INDUSTRIAL BILL) CAUSES PROBLEM AS SOUTHERN GOVERNORS DISAGREE WITH THE BILL

Some Nigerians, especially those from the southern part of the country continue to reject the new petroleum industry bills.

Remember that PIB passed last week by the Senate and the House of Representatives. There are disagreements about the percentage allocated to accommodate communities.

Reacting against 3% and 5% of the surgical expenditure allocated for the host community, the leader of the Delta Pan-Niger Forum (Pandef), Head Edwin Clark, said that the bill was unfair and demonic. He stepped further to point that the bill had destroyed the expectations of the Niger Delta people, added that it was embarrassing.

Head of Edwin Clark, who is also the leader of the South and Central Leader Forum (SMBLF), also condemned the provisions and allocation of 30% of profit for further border oil exploration in the north.

He said that Delta Niger people have enough colonial oppression and they will fight it for the next. Pandef's leader, represented by the Secretary of the National Publicity Group, Ken Robinson, at a press conference in Abuja, said that the PIB who graduated did not reflect the longing of Niger Delta people.

Edwin Clark's head now warns that Delta Niger people will take their fate in their hands if PIB is not upside down. He said that the international oil company (IOCs) would not be allowed to enter the region if the National Assembly failed to give their requests.

"All people in the Niger Delta region, for and on behalf of the host community, reject the following bills aspects: 3% and 5% of operational expenditures are given to the host community; provisions of 30% of fraud and provocative 30% for exploration funds Border. "And now request: PIB must be reversed, reviewed and changed to ensure that the oil bearing community must now receive no less than 10% of the operating costs." If this is not done, the Niger Delta people might be forced to take their destiny to Their own hands and all IOCs may find themselves denying access to their oil activities in the community.
