Bobrisky, a crossdresser, has issued a public apology to Mompha, a Dubai-based businessman, and refuted rumours that they dated.
Bobrisky and Mompha, who were once close friends, had a social media spat late last year after Bobrisky's former personal assistant Oye Kyme implied that they were lovers. Mompha was enraged that Bobrisky did not come out right away to refute the claim.
They also had a feud in December of last year after Bobrisky and Tonto got into an online brawl.
Mompha published images of a lawsuit he filed against Bobrisky after the fight on December 23. He charged Bobrisky with failing to refute Oye Kyme's claims that they were homosexual companions. He further accused Bobrisky of lying about borrowing his automobile every time he visits Nigeria. Mompha further claimed that the cross-dresser ran a smear campaign against him, claiming that he was "an audio billionaire renting vehicles in Dubai for the gramme."
Apart from demanding that Bobrisky show that he leases automobiles, Mompha also requested an apology to be published in two newspapers within seven days, as well as N1 billion in damages for the "malicious" statements.
Bobrisky, on the other hand, has issued a public apology to him. In it, Bobrisky expressed his desire to begin 2022 in peace and apologised to Mompha, who had been kind to him. He refuted rumours that they were dating. He also stated that Mompha is free to pursue the action if he so desires.
Bodrisky added;
Mompha is a great guy. He is an awesome guy. He is a perfect gentke man that I really respect so much. I can't really remember how myself and Mompha started but one thing I can remember is he is a great guy. Mompha has never judged me before. He is like a brother to me. He has been there. Even before I became so famous. Mompha has been there.
It's so wrong of me. I disrespected him and that is why I am doing this video to tell him I am sorry. A lot of people don't want to see me happy.
Mompha is a great guy. Me and Mompha we never, ever dated. Mompha is my brother.
Like I said, I messed up and that is why I am doing this video, to apologise to him that I am deeply sorry. I want him to forgive me. He can still go ahead with the suing. He can still sue me but I feel like it is 2022, I don't want to have issues with anybody.''
